DJ wouldn’t call himself an auto expert although he has a decade of experience working at 1A Auto under his belt. Furthermore, he got his start turning wrenches as a child racing motocross and completed his first auto repair at only 10 years old helping his father. Something you might not know about DJ is that when he’s not completing auto repairs, he enjoys scuba diving.
The first car DJ ever drove was a 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo but he purchased his first car when he was only 14 years old. It was a 1972 Chevy Malibu sedan. Although he dreams about cruising a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, his commute to work is in a 2004 Nissan Titan.
When asked what his most reliable bit of automotive advice to a first time DIYer is, he’ll respond with “It’s all just nuts and bolts. Take your time, stay organized and ask questions.”
