People do strange things. If you are confused by the images above, you are in good company. I am one of those people that hates to see a classic car in good original condition ruined with questionable taste & potentially unsafe customization. On the other hand, I am all for doing whatever you want with a car that has been left for dead. I’m not sure what the story is with this car, but seeing it in it’s current state leads to my brain hurting. It isn’t that I don’t approve of low vehicles, because I certainly do. In fact, I prefer my vehicles that way. » Continue reading more of this post…
It would be untrue for me to say that I don’t need a 1970 Subaru Samvar 360 Van in my life in a big way. A fellow Subaru enthusiast passed this eBay listing over to me (Item # 250742053151) because a car soooo spectacular obviously deserves to be put on a pedestal in public view. Just look at how ridiculous it is! I’m not sure if it belongs in the circus, on the grass at the Concourse D’Elegance, doing AWD turbo time trials up Pikes Peak, or hanging the front wheels while burning nitromethane at the drag strip. The possibilities are endless! Could this Samvar actually » Continue reading more of this post…
You heard right, The “1989 Batmobile” from Batman Returns was just up for grabs on eBay listed as “1980 Other Makes Batman”. Apparently eBay doesn’t have a Batmobile category yet. The listing has already been pulled down though. Apparently for $450,000, you would not only get the cave dwelling Batmobile itself, which does fully function and have hydraulics (Batman, you so gangsta!), but you also get a Batman statue and a Gotham city police badge! BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! If you had bought it now, a real Batman Batarang would have also been included. Geeze, you guys really missed out on this thing. Imagine going grocery shopping in a Batmobile.
Note to self: If you are going to try to sell the Batmobile, make sure you get “the ok” from Batman, or he WILL put a stop to it.
Note to eBay: Create Batmobile category for future Batmobile listings.
Owner Says: “This ORIGINAL(L68) 427-400HP MOTOR? …is in “YOUR” car!“
My Thoughts: “It’s in MY CAR?!!! Dammmmn! How come I never noticed a 427 hiding in my car? Where is it? Can you show me? Ok seriously, could this listing be any more confusing? I don’t know if there is a car for sale here, or if he is offering to buy the mysterious engine that I don’t have for 1.9 Million bucks. We are still in reality right? Where am I?”
Owner Says: “Head gasket is blown. Interior trashed. Bought it as a little beater for the kids to drive til it dies. Well… It still starts and runs, but I can tell it’s done.“
My Thoughts: “The lack of rust makes me think that maybe this car is not done. Since imaginary engines apparently exist today, let’s all imagine this fine automobile with a WRX engine and awd drivetrain swap. mmmmm. Now who’s going step up and make it happen?”
Owner Says: “Over $50,000 has been spent to keep this Veyron within the factory’s specifications.”
My Thoughts:Ok, so let me get this right. It has 2320 miles, and you’ve spent fifty thousand dollars to keep it within factory specifications? Ummmm……..What does that even mean?
Owner Says: “Automotive experts agree the CCX is as sweet as supercars come, and for more reasons than just its 3.2-second rip from 0 to 60 miles an hour; its quarter-mile run in 9.9 seconds at 146 m.p.h.; or its roughly 245 m.p.h. top speed.”
My Thoughts: I could buy 2000+ Pontiac Fieros for this price. 2000 cars or 1….. hmmm. Not sure.
Owner Says: “For your consideration is a 1965 Mustang Shell. Most of the parts have been removed. It still has the rearend, and front suspension as well as the wheels. The quarter panels have some rust in the bottoms. The quarter windows are still there and lots of various other parts including: Steering column, Brake Assembly, Heater Motor. The floors are in decent shape. The roof is not usable.”
My Thoughts: In New England, normally the roof is the only good part of an old car. Apparently in Oregon, not even the roofs are safe!
Owner Says: “The car was produce hand make in the company Böhminischen Märischen Machine in the year 1934. In this time epoch till 1945 have sitting in the car prominent people. The car is a original and in well condition. You can feel the time.”
My Thoughts: I cannot feel the time for a Prago Picalo.
Owner Says:
“For parts Still good parts left.
And take it all..Come with papers.
Can deliver short distance.
Trans / Rear /Lower motor block unit.
And a few other parts.”
My Thoughts: I STILL cannot feel the time for a Prago Picalo.
