More Problems With The 18

Man-O-Man Mr. Kyle Busch seems to be in the news quite a bit lately. From speeding at 125 down a public road which he was served with a town penalty.

Then two weeks ago he was rubbing fenders with Richard Childress’s grandson during a cool down lap, which earned him a head lock and a complimentary 2-3 shots to the face courtesy of Mr. Childress (he was fined 150,000 for this by the way). Now his number 18 Toyota was found to be 1/16″ to low in the front during a post race tech inspection after the Pocono 5-Hour Energy 500.

I’m not sure if Jimmy Spencer “Mr. Excitement” even caused this much of a stir back in the day. Kyle was served with a loss of 6 championship points as a driver; Joe Gibbs was served with a loss of 6 owner points; crew chief Dave Rogers was also handed a 25,000 fine according to Nascar.com

Kyle’s car did pass the pre-race inspection.Back at the shop team owner Joe Gibbs stated that they did find the issue as to why the car failed the post race inspection and also informed Nascar of their findings.
