If you’re in Norwalk Ohio, swing by the Summit Motorsports Park for the Pontiac Nationals. Watch Mike Green pilot the his 1966 1AAuto.com sponsored GTO to mid 10 second runs down the 1/4 mile.
If you would like to swing by and say hi, our booth is located right in back of the main grandstand; also located beside the Tin Indian display.
If you need a part for your car, Tony from 1AAuto can assist you, or if you would like to hang out and talk racing feel free to do that too.
Here’s a picture of Mike getting ready to make a pass down the 1320!
If my middle son ( means I have three) was able to right now he would be there he is the owner of a 1972 Pontiac Catalina and it is in good shape the paint is nice but not professional, over all a nice looking Pontiac. He is changing out the heads because of mechanical problems, he had the heads in storage . but he is a Pontiac nut for sure . I may take a picture and post it if I can . I like Pontiac’s myself. to bad they discontinued them.
Ken, I would love to see the 72 Catalina! Send some pictures to blog@1aauto.com
If you are a Pontiac fan or a fan of nice cars and drag racing in general this event is for you. Very nice swap meet, 400+ Show cars, 300 race cars from Nitro Funny cars to the GM Futureliner that posted a 48 second 26mph quarter mile “blast.” I had a great time, my car ran well, wish I was a little more consistent though. Check it out next year!
