1. Armrest

The 2006 to 2010 VW Jetta has an armrest on top of the center console that adjusts up and down to meet and rest your arm.

2. No Exterior Lock Knobs

You’ll find an exterior lock knob on the driver side door of the Mk5 Jetta, but you won’t find it on the passenger or rear doors. If the electronic locks aren’t working, you’ll need to open the door, remove the rubber boot from the side, and press the button inside with your key to manually lock it.

3. Keyholes to Only Unlock the Trunk Electronically

On the 2006 to 2010 VW Jetta, there’s a keyhole on the backseats and near the switches. These will lock the trunk so the valet key doesn’t. Then if you’re brining your car into service or a valet, you’ll only be able to unlock the trunk with the electronic key.

4. Spare Tire Mat Clip and Trunk Hooks

The mat in the trunk that covers the spare tire has a clip that can latch to the weatherstripping once connected. There are also hooks in the trunk that you can attach items like bags to keep them secure when driving.

5. Cold Glove Box

With the AC turned on, the glove box can get cold enough to store cold and frozen groceries like ice cream for small trips.
