Have you ever seen a commercial and just wanted to watch it over and over again? Recently, I was cruising around Reddit and saw this posted up by thesauce25. It is a commercial for Shell gasoline, with the help of Ferrari race cars racing through the city streets. The sounds coming from the cars are incredible.

First off, LS series engines are a new obsession of mine. Secondly, I just so happen to own a Subaru Impreza. So, it seems fitting that I post up a video of an LS-engine swapped Subaru. The video claims LS-2, but I think it’s actually a cast iron 6.0L LQ4. Be sure to crank your volume way up for this one. It sounds delish.

In the early 1980’s quite a few manufacturers wanted to get into the rally racing game, and Volvo was one of them. Naturally they needed to produce a car that had some kind of chance of fitting into that scene. So, they came out with a turbocharged 240 that made just a tick over 150 horsepower and about 175 ft lbs of torque. One of the reasons that I love cars from the 1940’s & 50’s so much is because they were still full of crazy ideas. People weren’t afraid to think outside the box to try to make life easier. If somebody decided that driving on 3 wheels was better than 4, poof, a new 3 wheeled vehicle arrived on the scene. You want your high beam headlights to dim when another car is driving at you, poof, done! You want an extra wheel to pop out of your trunk and help you parallel park, poof……wait, huh? Read More
Here in the United States, we are known for our undying love of big American cars with big V8’s. There is something special about burying your foot into the floor board of a V8 powered car and feeling the tires rip away at the pavement as the white cloud of smoke billows out from the rear quarter panels. It’s passion. What you may not realize though, is that some other countries have just as much passion for these big American V8’s as we do. This video was apparently filmed in Poland by a Mustang car club member. It is really quite a fantastic video. I have watched it a few times, and it definitely makes me wonder if I need more Mustang in my life.
