If you hit the brakes in the snow and the car fishtails, steer into the direction it slides. If the car slides to the right, turn the steering wheel to the right and don’t press the brake or gas pedal.

Stay off the brake and gas and turn the steering wheel to the direction the car slides in. Go into the slide by lightly turning in its direction, and keep doing this back and forth until the car straightens.
