How to get small dents out of a car with a hammer
- Clean and Rinse the Area with Soapy Water
Clean the area with soapy water. Rinse the area with water.
- Tap the Dent out of the Car from the Backside with a Hammer
If you can access the backside of the panel, you can try tapping the metal out with a hammer.
How to Remove a Small Dent in a Car with a Dent Puller Tool
Another method is to use a puller tool that will pop the dent out by force.
Tip: If the small dent is oddly shaped or longer, use a more suitable adaptor to repair it. The dent may have to be pulled more than once depending on its size.
- Clean the area with soapy water
- Rinse the area with water
- Place glue from a glue gun on the adaptor
- Attach the adaptor to the dent
- Place the puller tool onto the adaptor
- Tighten the screw until it pops the dent out
- Remove any residue by Wiping the dent off with rubbing alcohol and removing any remaining residue with a plastic scraper tool
- The alcohol will strip the wax off, so we recommend waxing that area when finished
